Only adding that I had 2 options offered for the MIC, “headphones” and “headset”, being Headset the one that includes MIC and therefore works. The only thing I can add to this is a recent experience where one of my Participants, using Win 10, wasn’t able to use their mic. Seems the 2004 update broke the microphone drivers. I use an Asus Transfomer T100A and they have no updates for that model anymore. Only solution now is USB or Bluetooth microphone. I’m getting a Surface Go 2 now to replace this table which I’ve had for 7 years. If everything fails then it might be the audio driver which has become incompatible with the operating system and hardware device.
